Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 egg
¼ cup bread crumbs
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon seasoned salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup thinly sliced onion
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cooking sherry
½ teaspoon seasoned salt
Derictions:
Stage 1 In a huge bowl, combine as one the ground meat, egg, bread scraps, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Structure into 8 balls, and level into patties.
Stage 2 Heat the oil in a huge skillet over medium hotness. Broil the patties and onion in the oil until patties are well sautéed, around 4 minutes for each side. Eliminate the meat patties to a plate, and keep warm.
Stage 3 Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Mix in flour with a fork, scratching pieces of meat off of the base as you mix. Continuously blend in the meat stock and sherry. Season with prepared salt. Stew and mix over medium-low hotness for around 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Go hotness to low, return patties to the sauce, cover, and stew for an additional 15 minutes.
Enjoy !
